Motivated student eager to apply engineering education to advance medical innovation and improve quality of care.

Welcome!
My name is Elisabeth Coller, and I am a second-year biomedical engineering major at the University of Florida. Inspired by the applications of science and desire to positively impact others, I developed a strong interest in healthcare at a young age. I participated in the medical program in high school but quickly shifted my career focus to combine medicine and psychology. Hoping to explore a technical application, I worked as a research intern at the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, which provided an introduction to research and encouraged my involvement in the Human Neuromechanics and OrthoBME labs at the University of Florida.
Curiosity drives my passion for psychology and fuels my desire to navigate the complex relationship between emotions and behavior. With the intention of pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience, I plan to focus my work on neurodegenerative and psychiatric conditions with the goal of improving diagnostic processes and treatment methods. My other areas of interest include neuroengineering, biomechanics, and tissue engineering.
